Calm Path Counselling
You don't have to walk your path alone
You don't have to walk your path alone
Welcome, my name is Gillian Davison. I am a person-centred counsellor dedicated to offering a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard and understood. My approach is grounded in empathy and genuine connection, allowing you to explore your experiences at your own pace and in your own way.
I believe each person has the innate capacity for healing and growth. My role is to walk alongside you, offering support and acceptance, as you reconnect with your inner strengths and discover what feels right for you.
I offer a confidential, supportive space for people to talk about whatever is bringing them to counselling. You may not be sure exactly what that is but you just know you would like things to be different. Being able to tell your story fully and honestly can lead to greater insight, self-awareness and new perspectives. It really can help. In the words of Maya Angelou, 'There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.'
'But others have it much worse than me.' Does that sound familiar? You don't have to minimise your pain in order to cope, it is a strength to ask for help. What you are going through matters and reaching out for support is an act of self-compassion. If you are considering counselling, I would warmly encourage you to get in touch and take that step towards caring for yourself.
I support all adults and a wide range of issues. Below are some areas I have a particular interest in. Please note my work includes, but is not limited to, these as every person's experience is unique and you are always welcome. My priority is the person in front of me, whatever you bring - listening to you, understanding you, and helping you navigate a path through your difficulties.

In our sessions, you can expect kindness, honesty, care and respect. Our therapeutic relationship is important, and you should never feel you have to mask your feelings or pretend to be okay. Whether you are facing a specific difficulty, or simply feeling lost, overwhelmed or stuck, you are welcome exactly as you are. You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive, just bring yourself. Together we can explore what you are experiencing and gently uncover what you need to move forward.
If you are ready to take the next step or would like to know more, I offer a free initial chat by phone or Zoom and can be contacted on:
